Restore Recovery College, also known as Healthy Lifestyle Solutions (HLS) CIC, is a VCS organisation that works to lessen health disparities in the South Bradford and BD4 communities.
HLS is well-known in the BD4 neighbourhood and was founded in 2001 as one of the Healthy Living Centres funded by the National Lottery. Although the programs have evolved over time, the main goals have remained the same: lowering the rate of illness, encouraging healthier lifestyles, and giving people the tools they need to take charge of their own lives.
We provide a variety of community-based programs, such as smoking cessation, mental health education, and social prescribing.
Additionally, we serve as a Community Co-Anchor, speaking to local and national statutory health partners on behalf of the larger VCS within the community.

"Learnt something I would never have tried before without being nudged."
"Inspiring, helped me with confidence, team bonding, mindfulness and being around and enjoying the company of others."
"I think I found it a lot easier speaking to somebody rather than just trying by myself. And I would recommend the service to my cousin to stop smoking, she had help previously but started smoking again but is currently ill. I’ve also got my daughter to ring too. And no, I don’t feel like you could improve the service. Everything was very helpful, and I really enjoyed taking part.”
